\u2018Twas the night before Comic Christmas, when all through the house
\nNot a creature was stirring, not even #MightyMouse.

The #Watchmen were nestled all snug in their beds,
\nWhile visions of smiley faces danced in their heads.
\nAnd #LoisLane in her glasses, and I in my cape,
\nHad just settled down after another close escape.<\/p>\n
When out on the horizon there arose a #LexLuthor clatter,
\nI jumped from my bed to see what was the matter.
\nAway to the window I flew like #TheFlash,
\nTore open the shutters and threw up the sash.<\/p>\n
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
\nGave off the light of #DrManhattan’s blue glow.
\nWhen, what to my X-ray vision eyes should appear,
\nBut a miniature Batmobile, and eight tiny brigadiers.<\/p>\n
With a painted, rumpled driver, so horrid and ochre,
\nI knew in a moment it must be #TheJoker.
\nMore rapid than #GhostRider his captors they came,
\nAnd he jeered, and shouted, and called them by name!<\/p>\n
“Now Batman! now, Wolverine! now, Aquaman and Hulk!
\nOn, Marv! On, Thing! On Thor and Spiderman!
\nTo the top of #GothamCity! to the top of City Hall!
\nThe Joker will conquer them, conquer them, conquer them all!”<\/p>\n
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
\nWhen they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
\nSo up to the fortress the captors they flew,
\nWith the Batmobile full of explosives, and #TheJoker too.<\/p>\n
And then, in a flash, I heard up above
\nThe fighting and battling and a series of “thuds”
\nAs I drew in my head, and was turning around,
\nDown the fire escape The Joker came with a bound.<\/p>\n
He was dressed in a trench, from his neck to his foot,
\nIn the worst shade of purple, and covered in soot.
\nA bundle of horror he had flung on his back,
\nAnd he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.<\/p>\n
His eyes–how they deadened! his smile how chilling!
\nGreen hair all so matted he must be a villain!
\nHis droll little mouth painted on in blood red,
\nAnd the cackle of his laugh soon was stuck in my head.<\/p>\n
The arch of his brow set my nerves on their warning
\nAnd I felt a distinct sense that he wouldn’t see the morning.
\nTo the phone booth I ran and whipped off my specs
\nTrading horn-rimmed glasses in for a blue suit of spandex<\/p>\n
I woke up #IronMan, my visiting holiday guest,
\nAnd told him to suit up with his best armored vest!
\nA blip of his #ArcReactor and a twist of his head,
\nSoon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.<\/p>\n
Then #IronMan and I, with #ScottPilgrim and #Blade
\nPut #TheJoker to shame with an aerial raid.
\nUsing Thor’s mighty hammer, and in just the right time
\nThe superheroes blasted #TheJoker through space to J\u00f6tunheim!<\/p>\n
Batman recovered his mobile, and the team gave a whistle,
\nThen everyone cheered when #GreenLantern disarmed Joker’s missile.
\nAs we all parted ways and disappeared out of sight,
