We also know that Nightcrawler, Bishop and Beast will return to the series.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the <\/span>60 Uncanny Years <\/span><\/i>live event which celebrated 60 years of the X-Men, DeMayo also said that <\/span>the main villain in the new series will be Mister Sinister!<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, <\/span>Magneto<\/span><\/b> will also be there as the leader of the X-Men, after Professor X\u2019s departure to the Shi\u2019Ar Empire.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This means that we\u2019re likely to see a showdown between Mister Sinister and Magneto, and we are super excited about that!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw <\/span><\/b>(from the Hellfire Club), Callisto (the Morlock leader) and government agent Val Cooper will also make an appearance:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of the surviving cast members are going to reprise their roles, which will make the fans of the original series particularly happy. The stellar <\/span>voice cast<\/span><\/b> will include Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Catherine Disher as Jean Grey, George Buza as Beast, Alyson Court as Jubilee and Lenore Zann as Rogue.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of seeing Magneto in his usual crimson and purple helmet, he\u2019ll sport long hair and his costume will look very much superhero-like. This makes sense since he\u2019ll put his villainous past behind him in the new series.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Magneto will wear the purple suit that he first wore in <\/span>Uncanny X-Men #200<\/span><\/i><\/a> (1985), when he became the headmaster at Professor X\u2019s School for Gifted Children. Since we now know which characters will be a part of the <\/span>X-Men \u201997 <\/span><\/i>team, let\u2019s get to know each of them a bit better.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Wolverine<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

With his tough exterior and no-nonsense attitude, Wolverine is one of the most iconic and beloved characters in the X-Men universe.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a mutant, he was born with special powers.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has <\/span>razor-sharp claws<\/span><\/b> that he can extend from his hands. He looks SCARY when he pulls them out!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wolverine sometimes acts as a lone wolf and wants to work alone rather than as part of a team (we feel you, Wolvie). But he\u2019s also fiercely loyal to his friends and will do whatever it takes to protect them!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Jean Grey<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Jean Grey is known for her <\/span>telekinetic and telepathic abilities<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her<\/span> abilities are <\/span>so <\/span>powerfu<\/span>l<\/span> that she\u2019s among the <\/span>strongest female comic book characters<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jean can <\/span>move objects with her mind<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>read the thoughts of others<\/span><\/b> and manipulate reality<\/span><\/b> to her liking<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, her powers can also be a double-edged sword, as they can sometimes be <\/span>difficult to control \u2014<\/span><\/b> particularly when she is under stress.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to her powers, Jean is known for her intelligence<\/span> and <\/span>compassion. She has a strong moral compass and is always willing to fight for what is right, even if it means putting herself in harm’s way.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Storm<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Storm has the ability to <\/span>control the weather<\/span><\/b>, including wind, rain and lightning. You wouldn\u2019t want to mess with her!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Storm is a natural leader and we\u2019re excited to see her take on a prominent role in <\/span>X-Men \u201997<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She\u2019s also known for her calm and level-headed approach to problem-solving, as well as her unwavering sense of justice and compassion, which, alongside her powers, make her a force to be reckoned with!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Cyclops<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Cyclops is a central member of the X-Men and one of the team’s most iconic leaders.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has a tactical mind and the ability to stay cool under pressure \u2014 even in the most dangerous situations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cyclops’ mutant power is the ability to <\/span>fire powerful optic blasts from his eyes<\/span><\/b>. He\u2019s also an <\/span>expert marksman<\/span><\/b>, able to hit even the smallest targets with incredible accuracy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from his great combat skills, Cyclops is a <\/span>deeply principled and dedicated leader<\/span><\/b> who always puts the safety of his team first. He always finds a way to balance out the diverse and colorful personalities on the team with his serious demeanor.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cyclops has faced numerous personal challenges over the years.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He grew up without his parents, believing that they had died in a plane crash, which has left him with a deep sense of responsibility for those around him.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Gambit<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Gambit<\/span> can<\/span> manipulate and charge objects with kinetic energy<\/span><\/b>. He hails from New Orleans and has a distinct Cajun accent, which adds to his charm<\/span> and charisma<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She has an upbeat personality and loves pop culture \u2014 especially all things related to mall culture and fashion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jubilee is one of the younger members of the X-Men, so it\u2019s not surprising that she often brings a fresh perspective to the team.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She is also fiercely independent and has a rebellious streak, which sometimes puts her at odds with the more traditional members of the X-Men.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He\u2019s a mutant with the power to <\/span>control magnetic fields<\/span><\/b>, which allows him to <\/span>manipulate metal and create devastating magnetic waves<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, no official trailer\u2019s been released, but we do know some interesting details about the series.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve learned that the story will take place several months after the X-Men said their goodbyes to Professor X.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
