And to rely on geometrical shapes as much as possible!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how that works in practice.<\/p>\n<h3>1. This comes as no surprise because their ears have the same function as ship sonars (remember echolocation from before?).<\/p>\n<p>The ears have a recognizable leaf-like shape. They\u2019re narrow at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uksafari.com\/tragus.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tragus<\/a> where they\u2019re attached to the head; then they widen in the middle and finish with a sharp-ish tip.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s draw the ears, starting from the point where the torso and the head meet. Erase Unneeded Lines<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Recommended tools:<\/strong> kneaded eraser<\/p>\n<p>Your bat outline is now ready, so it\u2019s time to get rid of all the lines that you no longer need.<\/p>\n<p>Erase the lines that go through the ears.
